Strike Action: Wednesday 1st February 2023
You may be aware from media coverage that some teachers nationally are concerned about government decisions about teacher pay rates. It has now been announced that there will be planned industrial action by the National Educational Union (NEU) on Wednesday 1st February 2023. There are further planned strike action days in the next few weeks and we will confirm any impact of further closures if and when they happen.
The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the unions and the government and not because of any issues at our school.
I am getting in touch to give you as much notice as possible that learning for some classes will be disrupted.

If your child is in a class which is closed, where the teacher is taking industrial action, you will need to keep your child at home on Wednesday 1st February 2023.
If your child is in a class which is open, where the teacher is working that day, please ensure your child attends as usual. For these children it will be a normal school day.
I will inform you as soon as possible if arrangements change further. I hope the letter is clear but if you need any further information, please call the school office for further clarification.
