Eco Committee
We are excited to share that this year our school has made the decision to work towards Eco-Schools Green Flag accreditation. This initiative is led by Miss Goldie.
With the world beginning to experience the effects of climate change, schools across the country are taking action. The Eco-Schools programme empowers young people to create positive change by taking a lead on environmental actions and projects in their school and local community. With our work with Eco-Schools, we will be working to make our school more sustainable, as well as learning more about how to live sustainably. This week, 12 children from Year 4 to 6 have been appointed to form our first Eco-Committee, who will be working to help make our school community more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
A key part of the Eco-Schools process is involving our entire school and wider community, so please look out for further updates in future newsletters. We are excited about all the opportunities ahead in this area.
