How is the curriculum is matched to the needs of WDA children?

  • We want the curriculum to be challenging, engaging and inclusive. SOLO Taxonomy (a systematic description of how learners' understanding builds from easy to difficult while learning different tasks) & ‘Pupil Profiles’ (a database of pupil information) promotes personalised and inclusive learning.

  • Our desired values, skills and aspirations for West Drayton children are collated into the Four Pillars.

  • We want our children’s cultural capital to go beyond National Curriculum expectations. The 100 Club (100 enrichment opportunities) and Childhood Promise (annual experiences provided free of charge by the school) grow our children’s knowledge, aspirations and life skills.

  • Our academic and social expectations are high.
