Home Learning using Google Classroom
At West Drayton Academy, we are committed to providing high quality home learning opportunities for all children during school closure. We will rely on the internet to communicate with your child through Google Classroom. This will enable teachers to post lessons in series and receive feedback on how your child is performing.
A range of useful websites for home learning / practical activity packs is linked on the school website in our Learning Resource Centre: https://www.westdraytonschool.com/learning-resource-centre/
All children will receive a Home Learning Pack (which include maths, grammar, reading and writing tasks suitable for their age group) and stationary to use at home. A pack of practical activities is also available.
If you do not have access to the internet, please complete a task from each subject area in your Home Learning Pack.
Supporting your child
All involved WDA staff in the Classroom can view all messages passed between teachers and pupils.
If children would like to ask the teacher or their peers a question, they can ‘share something’ on the Stream page. This is a public post which can be seen by everybody in the classroom.
Private messages can also be exchanged if your child does not want to ask questions in public.
If a child posts something inappropriate on the Stream, teachers will delete comments.
