We hope that you have all enjoyed 'Looking at our Learning' and had a lovely half term!
PE is on Mondays and Gymnastics is on Friday. Please make sure you always bring the correct PE kit.
Homework will be set every Friday and is due the following Wednesday.
We encourage children to read at home every day. Please encourage your child to read a variety of text types, listen to them read as much as possible and write a comment about their reading in their reading records. Reading records should be returned every day.

Highlights Last Week:
English: We completed mock SATs in grammar, spelling and reading.
Maths: We completed mock SATs in arithmetic, problem solving and reasoning.
Topic: We completed a unit of work on Nelson Mandela as part of a study of a significant individual from the past. This was linked to our learning challenge question ‘What makes Africa a special place?’
English: This week we will be planning and writing diary entry based on ‘Lila and the Secret of Rain’.
Maths: This week we will be covering measurements. First we will be using coins to make different amounts and then we will use be measuring length using cm and m.
This week we will be completing a unit on of work on computing called “We are researchers”. Children will learn how to use internet to research about Kenya and will learn how to use slides to present their findings.
We will look at the food chains from the savannah animals.
We will also keep learning about the different continents and oceans. For that, we will learn about Phileas Fogg and design a new route for him to beat his record travelling around the world.
