Highlights Last Week:
English: Last week we wrote newspaper articles about our class text The Storm Whale. What did Noi find on the beach after the storm?
Maths: We practiced completed X Factor (times table) booklets in preparation for Year 3. We also looked at combining coins to make amounts and giving the correct change.
Topic: We looked at the difference between natural and man-made features of seaside towns.
This week is health and fitness week. Please wear P.E. kit all week. Friday will be sports day (PM for KS1).

Maths games focusing on the skills learned during class and bug club books have been added to children's bug club accounts. Please log in to bug club to select these. The children can also practise their maths skills by logging into mathletics:

Every Friday the whole school will participate in Reflection Time. During this time we will reflect on what we have been doing in class this week. Each week we will have a different question. Please encourage your child to speak about this at home.
Things to remember:
1. You should read with your child every night and write a comment about their reading in their reading records. Reading records should be returned every day.
2. Homework books will be given out on a Friday and should be returned on a Wednesday. Please read the homework guidance on the inside of the front cover.
3. P.E. is on WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY
